Parsa Mohebi, MD
Dr. Parsa Mohebi, is a world renowned hair transplant surgeon and medical director of Parsa Mohebi Hair Restoration, whose centers in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles utilize the most advanced technology in hair transplantation. Dr. Mohebi has been actively involved in the research and development of new techniques in modern hair restoration through his participation in international medical organizations and institutions. He is the first chairman of the FUE Research Committee, which helps to pioneer new techniques that increase the efficiency of FUE hair transplantation. He has lectured extensively on new techniques for diagnosing and treating hair loss. He is also the author of Modern Hair Restoration, a complete guide for men and women with hair loss.
Dr. Mohebi began his medical education in Iran before enrolling for surgical training in the United States. After completing his internship at the University of North Dakota, Dr. Mohebi served in surgical residency at the University of New Mexico and York Hospital in Pennsylvania. Dr. Mohebi continued to pursue medical research in the Department of Surgical Sciences at Johns Hopkins Medical Institute where he conducted several studies on wound healing and hair growth using growth factors and gene therapy techniques. Hair growth studies in laboratory models stimulated his creativity and led him to further explore the frontiers of hair loss treatment and medical hair restoration.
After completing his fellowship in surgical hair restoration with pioneering hair transplant surgeon Dr. William Rassman, he started his hair restoration practice in Los Angeles, where he personally oversees the needs of each and every patient. Many hair loss sufferers travel to Los Angeles to Dr. Mohebi’s Offices every year, where they receive personalized medical and surgical hair treatments for their hair loss condition. Dr. Mohebi and his team are most proud of establishing long term relationships with their clients, who usually experience life changing results after their hair restorations.
Dr. Mohebi is well known for using innovative and novel approaches in his practice, whether it be by introducing a procedure that allows his patients to return to work immediately after their hair restoration, or introducing a new hair transplant app (Hair Now – Try a New Look) that allows his prospective patients to preview the result of their hair transplant. Dr. Mohebi is also the inventor of the Laxometer, which is used to measure the maximum safe zone that could be harvested for hair harvesting in order to prevent complications that may result from removing too much skin during an FUT procedure. Dr. Mohebi currently resides in Los Angeles, California. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, painting and photography. He is also an avid runner, having participated in the last L.A. Marathon.
