Jack
Fisher, M.D., is an Associate Clinical Professor
of Plastic Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical
Center in Nashville, TN.
Dr. Fisher
received his medical degree from the Emory University
School of Medicine in Atlanta, completed his internships
and residencies in general surgery at George Washington
University Medical Center and his plastic surgery
residency at Emory University Affiliated Hospital.
Following his residency, he was on staff at the
Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, from 1981 to
1986 as attending plastic surgeon.
A fellow
in the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Fisher
is active in numerous medical societies including
the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery,
the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Fisher
is involved in developing educational materials
for physicians learning hair transplantation and
corrective transplantation techniques, including
workshops and published works.
Dr. Fisher
also performs many other aesthetic and reconstructive
procedures. He was chosen in September 1998 by America's
Health Network to perform the world's first hair
transplant broadcast live over the Internet, and
Good Housekeeping magazine named him one of the
318 top cancer specialists for women in March 1999
for his expertise in plastic and reconstructive
surgery. He also has been included in Woodward/White's
Best Doctors in America since 1997.
